Eco Studios, 2009  1st Place 

Over the years, this 1950’s colonial has seen much neglect.  The Owners, a structural engineer and an artist wanted to wipe the slate clean and go modern.

As time and money allowed, they completed the initial addition of the studio and living room in 2003.  In the fall of 2008, it was finally time to add the second floor and tackle the challenge of modernizing the colonial.

The architects at EcoStudio went to work on bringing this old home into the 21^st century
with large storefront windows, clean contemporary lines and finishes.    

The owner’s expertise with colors helped this magnificent home fit into the cozy neighborhood that’s on the turn.  Bursts of vibrant colors bring the home to life.  Friends and neighbors couldn’t believe that the old brick colonial was still underneath the new colorful cement stucco exterior.
